It is imperative to correctly care for each jewellery piece in order to preserve its life. Some of our pieces are like little paintings and need to be handled with care.
Proper care starts at how jewellery is put on and taken off. The first rule of jewellery care is to have your jewellery be the last thing you put on and the first thing you take off. Do not bathe or swim whilst wearing jewellery. Patinas and oxides are meant to be kept dry. Water may fade the colours. Do not apply perfume, or lotions whilst jewellery is on. Chemicals can damage the patinas, leaving them lackluster and muted, or apply a film over the metal, leaving it looking dull.
Do not perform heavy duty tasks, such as gardening, dishes, cleaning, sports or any other manual tasks while wearing our jewellery. This may lead to patina being scratched.
Although a sealant is applied to help prevent further oxidisation, for extra shine you may gently rub your piece with a polishing cloth. But avoid areas that are intentionally oxidized to ensure the look of your original piece.
In order to protect the patina store jewellery pieces individually in a sealed bag, and keep in a safe box with low humidity.
We hope you enjoy your new jewels, with proper care, they can last forever!
